My role involved working on the shop floor and in the warehouses. My tasks included stocking the shop floor with items, dealing with customers who wanted to make purchases or called about enquires. I quickly caught up with the workflow and was very engaged in working. I politely helped people and guided them with purchasing decisions. The most interest part of this work experience for me was dealing with customers on the phone which was a new experience for me, and I grew to love. I received positive feedback. This whole experience gave me better insight into working with customers and I was able to improve my communication skills. I improved my organization and time management skills because I had to organize my time effectively by assessing what task needed the most time and when it was appropriate to deal with it accordingly.

General Store Assistant

I carried out voluntary work at Sense Charity shop as a general store assistant. During my time at the Store, my job was to ensure that the shop floor was organized, neat, fully stocked, and presentable. I also dealt with customers, helping them navigate the shop floor and provide answers to any questions they had. This experience allowed me to improve my communication skills due to the many encounters I had with customers. The role equipped me with better customer service skills as a was able to develop a better understanding of how to deal with customers in the workplace. I worked very well with my colleagues and aided in important decision making for the store’s operations.

  • Technology – My life revolves around technology since I use it on a day-to-day basis. I am always interested in finding out about the latest tech and what it brings to the world.
  • Reading books and watching movies - I like reading occasionally and I also love going to see new movies with friends.
  • Sports – I enjoy playing football and exercising in my spare time.
  • Music - I appreciate good music and listen to a range of different genres. I also like to play the piano and drums. I played these instruments a lot during my spare time at school – I thought myself how to play these instruments using YouTube.
  • Gaming - Gaming in my spare time helps me relax and have fun.

Visualization tool for sorting algorithms. This tool allows you to visualize various different sorting algorithms, and also gives you control of various aspects such as the values in the list, the visual speed, and also provides stats on the values being sorted

I decided to create this tool to apply my programming skills, and broaden my knowledge about sorting algorithms, JS, and the p5 library.
